First go

Well here I am in the world of blogging. Finally a place where I can type utter nonsense and take comfort in the fact that it is published worldwide. Oh dear. I doubt many people are reading it but that really doesn't matter, I'm quite happy talking to myself about everything. I'm 18, just finished school and now should get a job while I wait to see if I got into uni. But its raining. My younger sister got a job this week which you might think is embarrassing and I suppose it might be if I had tried. I will do though, I'm sure of it. I've been taking it easy recently just sitting on Facebook, watching telly and trying to come up with a brilliant new hobby to fill the summer. Like write a novel I thought but then I have no writing talent or ideas so that might be silly. My musical talent is equally lacking, although the other night my incredible rendition of the Strokes' 'Last Nite' in the karaoke night was epic to my ears. But then they spelt it nite which shouldn't annoy you mid-way through singing it but it did. That kind of american misspelling is not as annoying as spontaneous exclamation marks. But anyway
The worst thing about being 18 is the fact everyone thinks its ok to not have parties and make you pay your own money to have fun on their birthday. I mean my party was a drunken mess but the house wasn't destroyed, whats so wrong with that.
We had the leaver's prom thing the other day which was good fun. I didn't get horribly drunk this time (Christmas Ball is such another story) and actually was able to talk to people, including the horribly drunk german teachers, who are always good for a laugh (at them).
Ah well my inspiration is going. Goodbye!
